The Wine

A superb value Malbec using fruit from Margaret River and boasting points galore!

Ken Gargett, WinePilot calls it “not only most appealing but cracking value… a wine with a decade of pleasure ahead of it. A really good value Malbec. 93pts.” Then adds: “The colour is a dark magenta, with notes of plums and mulberries and an array of dark fruits. Dense, taut, full of flavour with spices and chocolate. Plenty of firm tannins here, a fleshy style which offers some serious length.”

For Sam Kim it is: “fruit-forward and fragrant. 92pts” And awarding it 90pts, Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion urges you to “Get the barbecue fired up.”

The name Risky Business is decidedly tongue-in-cheek because the partnership headed by Rob Quenby has neatly side-stepped any semblance of risk. The grapes come from vineyards in Great Southern and Margaret River in WA and King Valley in Victoria.
